It's not a matter of time.
I have too much on my hands,
and I'd give it all away
to relieve myself of demands.
There's no question of love,
of feeling less than I show.
I'd rather lose myself in you
than lose you to my ego.
This world is tearing me down.
It's worse every day .
I long to wake in another world,
somewhere I'd like to stay.
I close my eyes to sleep,
to dream a way out of this.
Two blank eyes stare back at me
to lull me into the abyss,
and I want to go away from here.
It's not a measure of life,
of filling all my time.
I want to leave a legacy
like a fossil of my mind.
It's not foreplay with death;
this intention is real.
Though if I forfeit before the end,
I would miss the big reveal.
This world is making me ill.
I'm worse every day.
It's getting harder to justify
a reason I should stay.
I gaze into a mirror
to see beyond all this.
My own eyes stare back at me
to pull me into the abyss,
and I want to go away from here.
